I'm Sorry
Writing this blog I’ve learned to see perspectives a little bit differently. It’s also forced me to talk to many men just to get their opinion on certain things; I may have looked at as flaws earlier. I never knew how real men really are, I never thought that maybe society puts burdens on them as well, and I never considered that they ever gave a crap about anyone’s approval. So, I’m sorry for ever thinking stereotypically, or assuming that all men were assholes just because I know a few actually are. I apologize for myself... and really all women who do that.

I think the desire for approval by the opposite sex is the burden imposed on both sexes. Your typical guy is as insecure and needy as your typical girl. We just deal with it more subtly (though by no means less severely). Chronic substance abuse, explosive, unpredictable fits of rage, etc. are signs of this in guys. It's also pretty notable that suicide rates among males are much higher. The (in)famous "Richard Corey" poem is pretty telling.

Society is a sad thing when looking at the social constructs. Guys go to gyms to bulk up and tone themselves to attract a female, and females go annorexic to get skinny and attract men. its a vicious cycle that typically both sexes end up with the same sollution: plastic surgery...sad but true...
